Lights, Camera, Action! That was our mantra during the Architectural Digest Design Show, which took place March 22-25, 2018, in New York!
At the popular annual show where all things top-design are available to see, touch and feel, we exhibited a selection of brand new KingsHaven lighting fixtures, furniture and accessories, as well as some of our customers’ favorites. We also had the great pleasure of meeting many of you in person.
To the guests who stopped by to say hello and see our 2018 line up, we wanted to extend our thanks for making KingsHaven a part of your show experience.
For our blog readers, customers, and friends who may have been unable to attend this year’s show, we thought you might enjoy learning about it and seeing a virtual view of KingsHaven’s display space right here on our blog.
Our exhibit space was along one of the main walkways in the Furnish section. We outfitted it with a presentation of sconces, chandeliers, pendants, table lamps, one of our custom bathroom vanities, and a few of our new occasional tables.
One of the comments we received from many show-goers was the fact they appreciated seeing KingsHaven’s craftsmanship and artisanship upfront and personal. This was especially appreciated commentary, because we believe how our lighting and other products look - and how they are made - are of equal importance.
The theme for our show display was focused upon our product design perspective, the thoughtful blending of old and new, spanning product selections of hand-chosen quality and breath-taking design.
An honor for us, KingsHaven’s show participation also included being a Contributing Sponsor for the event. You can learn more about this and take a look at all of the 2018 sponsors HERE.
If you followed the event’s happenings, you may have seen the Architectural Digest Design Show’s newsletters with our various KingsHaven banners. Just below, is one of them, showcasing our Luna Globe, a beloved lighting fixture among our customers and staff.
Whether you attended or not this year, we thought you would enjoy easy access to the Architectural Digest Design Show’s full directory guide. It serves as a helpful year-round guide.
You can read about the show’s activities and be in the know by clicking through the digital guide’s pages HERE.
As you peruse the directory, be sure and view KingsHaven’s sections. Find our sponsor logo on page 8. A KingsHaven dedicated page is on 23. KingsHaven is also mentioned on page 49 in the “Lighting” exhibitor listing section. The above link will take you to these and other pages of interest.
We created a special KingsHaven page for the directory (shared below) to invite show-goers to visit us during the event; though, seeing it now also offers an idea of some of the items we exhibited. A number of you asked us about this, so we featured our dedicated directory page (just below) in this blog.
Scrolling down, pictured in the top row (from left to right) are our beautiful, handcrafted English Gothic Agincourt Hanging Lantern inspired by an antique turn-of-the-century design; the Luna Globe which we crafted with an iron strap sphere embraced by a delicately grained laurel wood ring; and our brand new Charing Double Arm Diamond Sconce with its diamond-shaped backplate, making it perfect for the transitional or traditional home or any beautiful hotel or other hospitality design space.
Seen in row two of the page are the Metrique Pendant, KingsHaven’s new handcrafted wood and iron chandelier boasting geometric, abstract and modern underpinnings- giving it a hip, sleek and well-designed air for any traditional, transitional or modern space; an Atwater Occasional Table, a lovely little table that offers elegant form and easy function from the KingsHaven Signature furniture line; Chancellor Globe, an extraordinary nickel plated and glass globe chandelier adapted from an English antique; and, last but not least, one of our KingsHaven Decorative Fireplace Screens hand-designed with a grand but casual-style tree centerpiece to turn any fireplace into a showplace.
See an enlarged view of in the directory (linked above) on page 23.
Our own Lauren Wylonis, KingsHaven’s Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Lighting / Product Designer (pictured below), attended the Architectural Digest Design Show for a “meet and greet” with attendees every day.
Along with members of our team, Lauren offered tours of our display and also hosted a media tour we had planned, giving editors and reporters a chance to get the scoop on several of our most popular lighting options from 2017 and an advanced look at KingsHaven’s newest lighting and select furniture introductions.
Oh, and have you seen our brand new Hummingbirds? They were a big hit “fluttering about” at the show! During the event, we invited attendees to enter for chances to win one of these lovely little, energetic Hummingbirds.
Our hummingbirds were designed to remind us to forever seek out the beauty in each day and the good in life. Their handcrafted nickel wings and hand-painted ceramic bodies make these adorable and colorful birds a wonderful décor touch for the home or as a gift.
There were multiple chances to win everyday of the show, and the winners loved their prizes- a fun and friendly reminder of their visit to KingsHaven at the show.
For those of our blog readers who would like to have one as well, or any of our decorative accessories and décor accents, they can be purchased by visiting or contacting our Paoli, PA, store. By the way, in case you did not know, we are able to wrap and ship all KingsHaven purchases around the country and world.
